Additional color on Armen’s professional experiences:

–> Currently lead CPG industry marketing for DemandTec, a pioneer in the field of predictive pricing and promotion analytics.  In this role I drive the marketing strategy for DemandTec’s suite of solutions serving consumer goods manufacturers, and also serve as the company spokesperson for all industry activities.  DemandTec successfuly completed its IPO in August of 2007 (NASDAQ: DMAN).

–> Led marketing and product strategy for SoftCoin (since acquired by You Technology), the leading provider of digital promotion solutions for the CPG industry.  In this role I immersed myself in the latest digital frameworks for connecting brands with consumers.  I also partnered with my sales team to provide a hands-on industry perspective to more than 50 digital marketing and brand groups at many of the world’s leading organizations, including Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Kraft, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and several others.

–> Served as a digital marketing consultant for Avery Dennison.  In this role I held product management responsibilities for a large portion of the avery.com consumer website, developed several interactive Flash movies for the HI-LITER brand and other Avery brands, and was deeply involved in helping to craft and launch Avery’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce program, arguably the first in the office products industry.

–> Made my first Silicon Valley tour of duty where I led product marketing for Velosel, a start-up that developed a Master Data Management (MDM) software solution for CPG manufacturers, including Campbell Soup.  The company helped pioneer an emerging industry solution and was ultimately acquired by TIBCO.

–> Cut my teeth in brand marketing roles at ConAgra Foods, where I did stints on the Wesson Cooking Oil business and the La Choy / Chun King Chinese food line.

–> Developed and launched one of the industry’s first direct sell websites for the Swimmers Solution shampoo brand at Dep Corporation (now Schwarzkopf/Henkel).

Please note that my views represent my personal opinion and not necessarily those of my employer, DemandTec.
