about this blog
The rules have fundamentally changed for how CPG brand marketers reach, connect with with and retain consumers.
The 30 second television spot, once the dominant vehicle for reaching consumers, has been declared dead by many. More efficient and targeted approaches driven through digital mediums have rapidly evolved for reaching and retaining the “best” consumers. The focus on in-store marketing as a bona fide medium has taken on a life of its own. And sophisticated marketing science techniques have taken center stage for segmenting an increasingly diverse consumer and shopper base.
All of this enabled by technology.
How do CPG brands make sense of this rapidly evolving landscape of choices to ultimately reach, transact with and retain their best consumers?
How can national brand marketers peacefully co-exist with an increasing presence of private label items in many of the categories in which they compete?
What are the some of the likely trends and marketing vehicles that will bear fruit for driving portfolio growth and profitability?
And which vehicles might not be such wise bets?
Launched in 2008, the brandcentric blog addresses these issues (and more) in what is hopefully an informative, somewhat entertaining dialog. I trust that you will find this blog to be one of the many resources you tap into to stay connected to the fast-moving consumer goods industry. And through your comments, this blog will continue to serve as a forum for sharing your perspective with other industry professionals.

Thank you
